Arielle Buyum has more than 25 years of diverse healthcare experience, spanning both practical delivery of care and public health development. In her consulting career, Arielle has been engaged by governments, NGOs, private businesses, research and educational institutes, and nonprofit agencies in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, the Pacific Island region, and the mainland United States. Arielle works effectively across multicultural settings. Her areas of expertise include primary prevention, chronic disease, reproductive health, maternal/child health, program planning and management, capacity building at local and regional levels, training and technical support, evaluation, and quality improvement.

Arielle serves as the Executive Director of the Pacific Islands Primary Care Association, representing the Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in the three Pacific Island territories and the three Freely Associated States. Prior to this appointment, she spent more than 10 years with Pacific Island FQHCs working with both the PCA and the Community Health Centers directly.

Arielle earned a master’s degree in Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She also holds a BS in Nursing and served as a practitioner in the field for more than 15 years. In her free time, Arielle finds joy exploring culture through travel.
