Shelby Roberts, MPH

Associate Director of Programs

Shelby Roberts is the Portfolio Manager for Cancer and Cardiovascular Disease at NACDD. Shelby collaborates with NACDD members, consultants, and funders to achieve NACDD’s mission of improving the public’s health.

Shelby has focused her career on designing and evaluating programs aimed to prevent chronic disease and increase access to health care for underserved populations. Shelby’s work with the American Cancer Society has involved evaluating programs across the cancer continuum from cancer prevention programs targeting employers to hospital-based programs aimed to improve the quality of life and treatment completion of patients with health disparities.

Her previous experiences at the American Cancer Society, Northeast Business Group on Health, and Columbia University have exposed her to a diverse array of employer, health care, and community-based approaches to disease prevention.

Shelby received her master’s degree in Public Health from Columbia University and her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from Indiana University. Shelby lives in Atlanta with her husband and two daughters. She is an active community volunteer and enjoys running, writing, and being with her family.
